What is aluminum foil?
Aluminum foil is a stamping material made of metallic aluminum directly calendered into thin sheets and is widely used in food, beverage and pharmaceutical applications. The main production technology for aluminum foil is rolling. There are two recognized technologies for aluminum foil production: casting and rolling and hot rolling. Casting and rolling mainly involves melting the base material through a melting furnace, placing the aluminum melted into a liquid in a resting furnace, removing other metal impurities from the liquid through metal filtration, and making aluminum foil by cooling and casting and rolling. Hot rolling is mainly applicable to the production of aluminum foil alloy, and temperature control is required during the production process.

1100 aluminum foil is the most commercially pure alloy of all the aluminum grades. 1100 aluminum coil and 1100 aluminum sheet are both available for various applications including chemical storage and processing equipemtn. Benefits of 1100 aluminum coil & sheet include a 99% or greater content of aluminum compared to other grades of aluminum. 1100 is a low strength aluminum alloy with excellent corrosion resistance. This grade is best used for welding, brazing and soldering but has poor machinability. 1100 aluminum foil has great finishing capabilities so it is a great choice for decorative purposes.
